RACING GAMES

There is a full field of games in the race. As of this writing, Steam itself has a ridiculous number of pages dedicated to racing (this doesn't count racing games from other game stores). It is true that some of the titles listed are definitely not racing games. For example, Rocket League features wheeled vehicles literally racing towards a target, but it's undeniably a sports game (anyone who says otherwise is lying and not your friend). Likewise, Emergency, a simulation game in which you jump into the shoes of EMS, FDNY, or NYPD and try to save lives, is not a racing game.

The racing game is a title that puts you in control of a vehicle as you try to outrun your competition and get to the finish line in the first place. That's our definition, and we think it's pretty reasonable.
